Malaysia–China Enterprises Join Forces to Advance EFB Renewable Energy Cooperation — Strategic Consensus Reached Between Standard Macro and Usaha Strategik Sdn. Bhd.

On August 4, 2025, in Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur, Standardvista Solutions CEO Mr. Wong Chiew Kee met with senior management  and specialists from Usaha Strategik Sdn. Bhd. to discuss market development and expansion strategies for EFB (Empty Fruit Bunch) renewable energy.

Usaha Strategik Sdn Bhd, a leading integrated EFB renewable energy solutions provider with in-house R&D, flagship production facilities, and extensive PPP project experience, highlighted EFB’s unique advantages:

  • Non-competitive: No conflict with food or feed supply chains.
  • Stable supply: A year-round byproduct of the palm oil industry.
  • Environmental benefits: Reduces open burning, methane emissions, and land pollution.

Data shows Malaysia produces about 25 million tonnes of EFB annually, yet less than 30% is utilized as biomass fuel. With China’s dual-carbon goals and 14th Five-Year Plan pushing for reduced coal use and expanded biomass energy, EFB’s carbon-neutral, low-sulfur, high-energy characteristics make it an ideal coal substitute in regions like Guangdong, Shandong, and the Yangtze River Delta.

Usaha Strategik Sdn Bhd sees strong demand in Europe, with Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, and Belgium as key markets. Both parties agreed the Malaysia–China Dual Business Database can connect enterprises and resources to promote EFB projects globally. Usaha Strategik Sdn Bhd will join the database and launch an EFB renewable energy production base investment plan.
